Sunday Morning Paddle

Sunday 25th March 2007.

The Adventure Club advanced sea kayaking session met At Port Erin. It was a cold but sunny morning with a mild force 4 Easterly blowing. It took 30 minutes to reach the Sound where we were greeted by numerous seals. The tidal race was flowing with some small but well formed surfing waves. Eventually the fun ended and it was down to some brain freezing rolling, and re-entry and rolling in the race just beneath the cafe. The finale was re-entry and roll with reapplivation of spray deck whilst submerged. Only Keirron managed this. Back at Port Erin Janet managed her first succesful re-ntry and roll.
